Chico Eastside Little League is a fun, family friendly area where families can get together to enjoy, play and watch the sport of baseball. This Code of Conduct is not designed to be all encompassing of the facility rules, but is specifically geared toward fostering an environment that is safe, enjoyable and respectful to everyone of any age or involvement.
Chico Eastside Little League Code of Conduct
Respect for Players: Treat all players with dignity and respect, regardless of skill level or performance. Encourage and support their development in a positive and constructive manner.
Respect for Umpires: Accept the decisions of umpires with grace and without dispute. Refrain from arguing or engaging in confrontations with umpires, and instead, address concerns through appropriate channels.
Respect for Coaches: Show appreciation for the dedication and effort of coaches. Avoid criticism or interference during games and practices, and communicate any concerns privately and respectfully.
Respect for Eastside’s Facility: Treat the facility appropriately and keep it clean by picking up trash, following facility rules, refraining from any activity that can/will damage any part of the facility. This includes driving appropriate speeds in the parking lot and respecting the property of our neighbors on all side.
Fair Play: Embrace the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship at all times. Encourage honest competition and discourage unsportsmanlike behavior, such as taunting, trash-talking, or cheating.
Treatment of Players and Spectators/Parents of Opposing Teams: Extend hospitality and respect to players and parents from opposing teams. Avoid hostile or confrontational behavior, and instead, promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or disputes calmly and constructively, following established league protocols. Seek resolution through dialogue and mediation, prioritizing the well-being and unity of the league community.
Role Modeling: Lead by example and uphold the values of integrity, sportsmanship, and respect in all interactions. Serve as positive role models for players and fellow participants, both on and off the field.
Compliance with Rules and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all league rules and regulations. Respect the authority of league officials and abide by their decisions and directives.
Continuous Improvement: Strive for continuous improvement as individuals and as a league community. Actively seek feedback, reflect on experiences, and work collaboratively to create a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for all involved.
